How to Get Feedback on Your Materials
Ways to get feedback on your materials include:
- Conduct focus groups, as several users of the Toolkit did to assess reactions and inform revisions to the materials and planned distribution methods.

- Form a small committee of employees or members and ask them to review and provide feedback on draft materials.
- Post draft materials to an internal website and invite people to provide comments.
- Set up a table wherever people gather (lunch room, break room, employee meetings) and ask them to read and provide feedback on the materials.
When gathering feedback, focus on the following:
- How well do people understand the materials? If they have trouble understanding the materials, why is that?
- What do they like about the materials? What do they think could be improved?
- Do people think the materials are relevant to them? Why or why not?
- What do people think the materials are asking them to do?
- How, if at all, would people use the materials?
- Why do people think you are creating and distributing these materials? What do they think is the purpose of the materials?
